Stylish Blogger Award

Hi everybody :)
I was awarded the Stylish Blogger Award from a sweet lady, Maria! Thank you so much :) How exciting...my first one :)   In order to accept this award, I needed to list eight things all of you do not know about me. Also, I needed to pass this award onto eight people. Thanks again Maria...i'm touched :)

1. I would love to learn to knit.  I've tried many, many...many times....so if there's someone out there with boat loads of patience looking for a challenge...i'm your girl lol.
2.All my dishes need to match.  It drives me crazy when my plates and bowls and cups are all mismatched.  Hopefully that's not just me.
3.I'm an only child.
4. I love doing laundry.  Seriously.  Something about the smell of a fresh load of laundry makes me happy :)
5. I've never really liked chocolate.
6. I need coffee first thing in the morning in order to be a pleasant person.
7.  My favorite color is green.
8. I have one dog ( Annie) and 1 cat (scraps).

Tea party fun :)

Good morning everybody.
I was given the glorious task of coming up with an idea for a tea party invite for 18 little girls.  Seeing as i have two little boys...getting the chance to do girly things is just heavenly ;)
Here's the cards i came up with.  I figured i'd let them choose which they prefer.  A little variety never hurts right?
Option1

Option2

Option3

Option4

For all cards I used the "A childs year" cartridge with basic grey "Green at heart" patterned paper.
Which one would you pick?

Thanks for checking out my lastest...hope you all have a fab week :)

Had a playdate at the cafe ;)

So the playdate cafe had another fab challenge.  PDCC67.
Wow and what a chanllenge it was!  I never and i mean NEVER use these colors together.  Not sure why...i think they look quite lovely :)  Again with the foil i know, i know you guys are probably getting sick of seeing it, but i'm hooked.

I started with some patterned paper from the Que sera collection from K&Company then sanded the edges and mounted it on a piece of purple cardstock.  The raised piece I cute a border piece with my cricut machine using the storybook cartridge and used it as a mask.  I sponged spun sugar distress ink with some purple pigment inks then aged it with a bit of vintage photo.   I recently bought this stamp set from walmart for $1 and it's from autumn leaves.  So i embossed that then used bleach in certain spots to lighten it.  I alose bleached around the edges with my brush just to make it stand out from the matting a little more. The hearts are all cut using the george cartridge and the silver ones i ran through my cuttlebug.  Finished with some red ribbon and I think i managed to encompass all the colors :)
Thanks for checkin it out.  Have a fab day guys!

I'm now on Etsy :)

Hi everybody :)

Wow....i've been so busy and I was shocked to see my last post was in October...that's just awful lol.
I have started a page on Etsy where I have my cards available for sale.
Here's the link: http://www.etsy.com/shop/CassieN?ref=pr_shop
I also have been doing some custom orders. That, combined with kids being sick and all the wonderful other things that come along with this time of year...time is flying by :)
Here are a few of my latest creations. As always i'd love to hear your feedback.

I so rarely seem to get the chance to scrapbook. I was thrilled with how this page turned out. In person it's very sparkly. The snow flakes along the border strip are embossed with irrdescent powders and highlighted with stickles. ( gotta love glitter in any shape or form.) Maybe that's why i enjoy winter LO's. I can use glitter with pics of my boys and it doesn't seem wierd :)  The punched snowflakes are a combination of punches and dies i've collected along the way.  I think the larger is Martha stewart and the smaller are all cuttlebug dies.  My favorite part on the whole LO is the snow on the title.  I was sooooo happy how it came out :)  I seen someone else do it...can't remember who so I won't take credit for the idea...but i used my liquid pearls and gooped it on there and voila...looks just like snow.
I was really happy with this card. I did a custom version of it for a friend using dark purple. I looked so elegant. For some reason I can't seem to get it to load on to this page so here's a link if you're curious :)
http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/187183/view/3087451/-1/1.html It's a link to SB.com with my gallery as well.  The patterned paper is Basic Grey from the Capella collection.  A beautiful collection a papers btw.  I made the little rosettes by hand and cut the foil with my cuttlebug corner die.  The foil was a gift from my MIL.  I'm liking and using it much more than i thought i would originally.

A friend of mine also had a baby girl this month. This card was a lot of fun to make. I have a wierd thing for buttons. Just seems to go with babies :)  The patterned paper is from the Que sera collection (love) and the stork is a digital stamp which i just colored in with my blender pen.
And last but not least I don't think you can ever really have too many thank you cards. So here's one I made just using scraps from my stash.  I used my cuttlebug Olivia die to cut the "thanks" and my spellbinders die for the label.
We're expecting a big storm here tonight so it's prime opportunity to get some more stuff done :) Hope everyone has a wonderful week and thanks for visiting.

Hugs,
Cass.

Anniversaries galore!!!

Wow...October is a busy month for anniversaries. Do people know there's 11 other months to choose from? lol I had roughly 10 anni. cards to make this month, and all anniversary. That's not including all the other ones i have to get done lol. I'll post two for now. These ones posted today are ones I made multiples of. They're going to different provinces, countries...soo....the people will never know ;)

Both cards are easel cards made using the medallion stamp from SU!. I embossed with fine white embossing powder and then used my distress inks. ( I'm a sucker for resist ) Flowers are homemade.
Any questions feel free to ask :)

Have a great day!

Cass.
