Happy Anniversary to us :)

Yay...8 yrs. today. Happy anniversary sweetie. This is the card i made for my DH for our special day. I used my EK success five petal flower punch ( i have no idea what the actual name of the thing is ) and bazzil cardstock for the base. I used my cricut with the storybook cartridge to make the frame and outlined it with my white gel pen from Ranger. The patterned paper was from a pack i got at Walmart a few years ago. I'm sorry...i don't remember the name. I really should start labelling things huh?
Thanks for looking...have a great week :)

I love you

I love the look of corrugated cardboard on any project. Has such great texture, so i had to try it for myself. I used "bay leaf" acrylic paint by folk art and dry brushed it on then ran my tim holtz brushed corduroy over top. The lollipop flowers are made from scraps and the stamp is from hero arts...i think.
Thanks for looking...have a great week!

Anniversary card for friends

I wanted to quickly post the card i made for some friends yesterday. Their anniversary is today..."Happy Anniversary to you!~" :)

I used Jennifer McGuires pearlized ink blending technique...well a modified version. I didn't have a mister or the pearl powder so i used what i had. Instead of the mist she uses, i mixed some of my perfect pearls with water and brushed it on. I was still pretty happy with the effect.

Anyway, thanks for checkin' it out :)
Have a scrappy sunday ;)

~Challenged~

It was all about challenges here yesterday. Once again i joined the girls at Stamptv. First was a sketch challenge which you can find here. I made my first card using the Que sera collection, Martha Stewart ribbons, my cuttlebug and cricut.

Secondly was a challenge found here for a tea bag holder. Once again i used the Que sera collection. I'm in love with this paper...can you tell??? Martha Stewart doily punch and a couple brads. The image is a stamp i have from studio G, and the sentiment from SU!.

Here's a quick view of the inside. I really like this tea.
Thanks for checking it out.
Have a crafty day ;)

Happily ever after

Here's a LO i finished today of my DH and myself at a wedding this past year. It's our anniversary this month so doing this one made me feel all warm and fuzzy :) I used basic grey "offbeat", K&Co. "wild saffron" and black bazzill cardstock. The elements are all from the storybook cricut cartridge.
Thanks for checking it out :)

My NSD :)

So NSD didn't go quite as planned I'll admit. As usual something got planned which would take up just enough time so i couldn't get all those layouts made that i wanted to. I got one done (yay!). The base is Basic grey "offbeat". The rest is cardstock from my stash. I used my fiskars border punch to frame it and added some homemade blossoms. One of the boys brought Benjamin Bear home for a few nights and we had to do a journal of his visit. It was a fun little project. We ended up taking pictures of Owen and Benjamin on the play set in our backyard, in the leaves and things like that. Printed the pictures and did a mini scrapbook page for the teacher. Really...i'm a scrapbooker...if an opportunity presents itself...what would you expect ?
We ended up attending a congregation get-together and i was on cupcake duty. Ahhh cupcakes...at least it's a creative outlet. I watched some videos on how to decorate some snazzy cupcakes and tried my hand at it. I was very pleased with the outcome...especially since these were my first. What about you? Did you get everything done that you had planned to????

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day ;)
