...Just Because...

So it seems like forever since I've sat down and made something that was just for fun. We got tons of snow so the kids were outside and the house was relatively quiet...which equals either dishes or craft time. Craft time !

I used a stamp a friend had given me ( sorry no tag so i haven't the slightest who makes it) my new EKsuccess border punch with the postage stamp edge and all the cardstock was from bazzil.

The leaves are a stamp from a stampin' up set i have ( best blossoms ).

Baby Album....finished....finally!!!

So i finally finished my friends baby album. I didn't post all the pages but here's just a few. I really hope she's happy with it. One of my first albums...not seasoned at it just yet ;)

More cards.

I thought maybe I'd post some of the other cards I'd finished in the last little bit. I really wish I'd taken the time to write down manufacturers names and whatnot...but most of the product ( i.e. paper) was primarily from my scrap bin. The card "dream" in person is actually very sparkly...hard to show on a photo. The other two were anniversary cards for family.

My attempt at home decor :)

We've just moved into our first home ( yay! ), but, i have to admit...things are looking a little bare. I'm sure this is something all new home owners experience...especially when upgrading. Anyway, i seen this little project while surfing awhile ago...and well, the cricut manages to do amazing things :)
Very simply project...I picked up some small tea light votive holder from the craft section ($1 each ) and used my george cartridge on the slot setting. I backed it with vellum and tied it with sisal. All in all, took maybe 20 minutes? And all for under $10... i didn't think that was bad at all :)
I made an alternative set for our guest room where the holders were a little bigger. I cut out letters spelling "RELAX" in vinyl ( using my storybook cartridge ) and centered them on the holders. Then I bought frosting spray ( I'm not sure if that's the technical name or not ) but they look pretty too...I'll have to picture up those ones too...just need more tea lights :)

Just playing around with some of my scraps :) It was hard to get a picture showing the dimension on this card...which there seemed to be a lot of.

New Baby :)

Friends of ours just had a new baby girl this past Thursday. I seem to be one of the only scrappy one among my friends (i'm working on converting them but it takes time ) so i was asked to make some cards for them. I have two done so far that i'll post but i'll post any more I make.
