Snowflakes are like winters butterflies.

Hi people :) I think we're finally to settle back into our regular routine around here. Over our March break i took one of the little guys to visit Oma and Opa in Nova Scotia for the week. It was nice to be back home for a bit. My hubby and our other little man stayed home and attempted some renos on the house.
Mom and Dad are without the Internet...so i felt a little cut off from the planet...but we're back and online :)
I brought some of my scrapbook stuff because some of Moms friends wanted to learn how to do it. So with minimal supplies i decided to whip up a LO. Wow...feels like forever since I've made a 12x12er.
Anyway, I'm still thinking of adding some little things to it...but thanks for looking and hope everyone enjoyed their March breaks...if you had one ;)

365 cards~sketch challenge

Had a lot of fun with this one. Pulled out all my inks and some scraps i had been hanging on to for way too long...and voila. Me likey :)

Circle, Silver, and pearls :)

I found another great card making site...how i'll keep up with all these fabulously creative people i don't know :) The challenge was to use a circle, silver, and pearls on your card. I used the foil embossing technique, and also tried embossing with acrylic paint. Gives it a bit of a shabby look. Thanks for checkin' it out guys :)

My revised entry for a sketch.

So here is the original sketch that i was supposed to stick to with the last card....that obviously didn't happen lol. So today i gave it a second try :) Here's what i came up with. I used mostly scraps i had in my stash. Ran the teal piece through my cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder, punched the pink with my Martha stewart punch and the rest was made using my cricut and the storybook cartridge.
Thanks for checkin' it out :)

Dahlia fold all occasion card :)

I've been wanting to try this fold for quite some time now. I think the final product is stunning :) So much depth and detail...love it! Anyway, i made this lil' number last night, it started of from a sketch but...it took on a life of its own. I used K&Company patterned papers that i inked with tim holtz walnut stain and scratched up the edges with my finger nail a wee big. The rhinestones were from walmart. I'm a sparkle gal so i found a little tube that was cheaper than the actual flourishes. I figured i could make a flourish myself so we'd give it a try :) Then i just finished off the edges with some faux stitching.
Thanks for looking :)

You're unfrogettable ;)

You're unfrogettable...words I think we all need to hear a little more often than we do :) I made this today for the Mojo Monday challenge. This is my first challenge...sooo I really hope i'm doing this right. I used the unfrogettable set from stampin' up, cosmo cricket patterned papers and bazzil cardstock. I used some of the new Tim holtz distress ink colors which i'm in love with right now...tumbled glass, bundled sage and weathered wood ( not new ).

Thanks for checkin' it out :)
